Zenodiac

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 2, 2026
App: Zenodiac

Zenodiac is a local-first meditation app. It has no accounts, no analytics and no ads, and your profile and practice record stay on your device. The only data exchanged with the outside world is purchase information for the optional Zenodiac+ subscription and the download of voice recordings from the app's own audio host, both described below. This policy explains what the app keeps on your device, what the subscription service receives, and what choices you have.

What the app stores on your device

Everything below is kept in the app's local storage on your device and is never sent to us, to RevenueCat or to anyone else:

What we do not collect

We do not collect or receive analytics, usage data, crash reports, advertising identifiers, location, contacts, photos, your payment card or Apple or Google account details, or any account information. The app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. The developer does not receive data from the app, and we do not sell or share your data. The exceptions are the purchase information below, which is sent to RevenueCat so the app can tell whether your subscription is active, and the requests that download voice recordings, which are described under Audio.

Purchases and subscriptions

Zenodiac+ is an optional auto-renewing subscription. The purchase itself is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their terms and privacy policies; we never see your card or account details.

To find out whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.), a subscription service that works for us. When the app starts, it contacts RevenueCat, even if you never subscribe. RevenueCat receives:

This data is used only to unlock Zenodiac+, restore your purchases and keep the subscription status correct. It is not used for advertising and not shared for tracking. We do not send RevenueCat your birth date, sign, check-ins, session history or saved sessions. RevenueCat handles this data under its own privacy policy (revenuecat.com/privacy). If you want purchase data associated with your anonymous ID deleted, contact us at the address below.

Device backups

Your operating system (for example iCloud Backup on iOS or Android Backup) may include the app's local data in your device backups, depending on your device settings. We do not control or access those backups.

Reminders and notifications

Daily reminders are optional and off by default. If you turn them on, the app asks for notification permission and schedules one local notification per day on your device, at the reminder time shown in Profile (20:00 by default). No push-notification server is involved. Turning reminders off in Profile cancels the scheduled notification, and you can also change the permission in your device settings.

Audio

Zenodiac can play an optional ambient sound and the zodiac talks, which are bundled in the app, so they play from your device without a network connection.

The 40 sessions have voice guidance in six languages. The voice is synthetic (computer-generated). These recordings are not bundled: when you play a session, the app downloads its recording in your app language from the app's own audio host (a Cloudflare service operated for Zenodiac, at zenodiac-audio.thepill.workers.dev) and keeps a copy in the app's cache on your device so the session can play offline next time. You can also download sessions on purpose from a session's page. This is an ordinary HTTPS request for a file. No personal data is added to it: the app sends no birth date, profile, check-in, history, purchase information or identifier. As with any web request, the host and Cloudflare see technical request data such as your IP address, the requested file name and your app's network details, and may keep standard technical logs under Cloudflare's own privacy policy (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy). We do not use this data to identify you, to build a profile or for advertising.

You can remove downloaded recordings one by one in Library, remove all of them with "Remove all downloads" in Profile, and "Erase all local data" removes them too. The operating system may also clear the cache by itself when storage runs low. Audio may continue while the screen is locked so a session is not interrupted. If a recording cannot be loaded, the session runs as timed quiet practice.

Permissions

The only permission the app can request is notifications, and only when you enable reminders. Zenodiac does not use the microphone, camera, location, contacts or photo library.

Your choices

Children

Zenodiac does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The only data that leaves the device is the anonymous purchase information described above, and the technical data of an ordinary request when a voice recording is downloaded (see Audio).

Third parties

Zenodiac includes no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. Its one third-party SDK is RevenueCat's purchase SDK, described above. The voice recordings are hosted with Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.), which serves the files to the app as our hosting provider. Apple's App Store, Google Play and your device's backup service are operated by those companies under their own privacy policies.

Health disclaimer

Zenodiac supports relaxation and general wellbeing. It is not a medical device, is not a treatment or diagnosis, and is not a substitute for professional medical or mental health care. If you are struggling, please talk to a qualified professional. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

Astrology in Zenodiac is offered for reflection and entertainment. Signs are calculated from calendar dates and are not scientific predictions of health or personality.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, we will update this page and the effective date, and the in-app copy will be updated with the next release.
